​Team Africa Mission International (Team Africa) is a 501(c)(3) non-for-profit organization that was established in 2008 by Dr. Evon Anukam and Dr. Casmir Anyanwu.  Team Africa’s mission is “to save and sustain the lives among the poorest communities of third world African nations”, which has been the same since their initial establishment. Despite being a relatively new organization, Team Africa has made significant strides with meeting their mission goals through carrying out annual and/or biennial week-long health missions in medically vulnerable African communities.  Throughout the course of these missions, they have prioritized their goals to focus on: the treatment and prevention of diseases, child and maternal health initiatives, childhood vaccinations options, training local health workers, and providing resources for HIV testing, treatment, and prevention.
